Rosés with a cranberry juice appearance seem to be the absolute minority nowadays with the shelves bulging with pale salmon examples. If I keep hearing, "That's what the people want," I think I'm going to scream. What a relief Tim Geddes is good enough not to follow the crowd. A great drink this.
Viognier dominates this wine with Grenache and Shiraz (5% each) used to generate the desired colour. A welcoming introduction of strawberries, cranberries and red cordial aromas. It's dry with cranberries and blue fruits shouldering for attention. There is a distinct white bit of the watermelon appeal here too. Softly spiced, there is an imminent drinkability about its persona. A very tidy wine worth wrapping your lips around.
Drink now.
