Montalto Single Vineyard Merricks Block Pinot Noir 2015

Pinot heaven. Sublime from top to toe.

This vineyard sits 55m above. 22% underwent carbonic maceration for 10-14 days. Wild fermentation took place before 11 months in French oak (25% new, 25% one year old and 50% two year old).

Fine boned and dripping in approachability, this is such a pretty and pleasurable wine - its purity makes it a standout from the four single vineyard releases from Montalto.

Glossy and satiny, the fruit rolls about with ease peeling back layers of interest.
Red berries and red cherries waltz with ease with a shimmer of pine needles. Add to that some forest floor, sleek spice wraps up the precious parcel. Finishing long and ever so delicate.

Brilliant!
