Made with 100% whole bunches, this is packed with dark fruits - that whole bunch ferment certainly evident. Smells a little skinsy not surprisingly. Peel that back to reveal some old leather, black earth, Chinese five spice and older toasty oak.
Aromas are big but the delivery is softer than you'd anticipate. That five spice character seems to just skim the surface riding it all the way. The palate fills out nicely leading to a soft and generous finish.
Have with something meaty. Drink now to the medium term.
