I recently dined at a restaurant which was in between wine lists. It was all a bit of a mess really - the waitress didn't know what was still available nor what the new wines were. She came back with this and a Great Southern Pinot Noir. Having recently been to the Apple Isle we decided to go with this - I wish we went with the Great Southern in hindsight...
Quite a simple Pinot. Nothing to really getting the juices flowing. Sure it's a light easy drink, but I was expecting a little more life from it.
Little complexity to think of, spicy plum fruit the main player but the mid-palate seems to have missed the invite. Red apple acidity sits high up on the palate with a fair length.
Not a wine I'd go back to given the choice.
Drink now to five years.
