Gartelmann Dietrich Shiraz 2015

One of the best Shiraz releases from Orange I've seen in recent memory. The best wine I've seen from Gartelmann too. The brand's icon Shiraz named after owner Jorg Gartelmann's grandfather.

This is tightly wound and will be ready to pounce with some bottle age under its belt.

Fruit and oak are beautifully balanced. Fine Sheets of pepper caress the mouth. It's spicy and inviting calling for another sip. A dab of residual sugar lingers and the fruit delivered is intense and bold yet maintaining its medium bodied shape. Fine tannins to finish possesses a brick dust texture.

The back label says to drink from 2018, great in 2021 per cellar 2025+. Fair enough.
