Airlie Bank Sauvignon Blanc 2017

Barrel fermented Sauv Blanc. An exciting release injected with pleasure. As per the back label, "Thank you for your time and indulgence."

From what winemaker Tim Shand (and many others in the region), 2017 could be the best vintage in the region in recent memory.

Pretty scents of lemongrass, ginger and canned pineapple. That pineapple theme flushes through to the mouth with pineapple husk and guava ticking the box. Textural interest from barrel fermentation drives up the yum factor finishing with another smear of tropical fruit and pineapple like acidity. Good stuff and well priced - the type of Sauvignon Blanc I like drinking.
