A different take on Verdelho moving away from the clean and fresh tropical fruit which adorns most.
Whiffs of pineapple and green melon get the ball rolling. The palate is quite rich and awash with creamy feels plus a touch of toast - partial barrel fermentation doing the job there. Caramalised pineapple and some lemon pith run hard at the finish closing with a lick of spice.
Creamy pasta dishes or a roast chook would go well here.
