On the back of a terrific Chardonnay release from Rowlee Wines comes this Nebbiolo. What a surprise packet this is!
A single vineyard wine from 950m above.
Dripping in varietal goodness, it smells of orange peel and red cherries. Some bark and a bit twiggy, there's a hint of clove casually revealing itself too. Well cut acidity defines the palate. A bit dusty with mouth sapping dryness finishing chalky with a fine lingering spice. Oh I like this.
Drink now to ten years.
