Meerea Park Terraotta Chardonnay 2015

This is the first release of the Terracotta Chardonnay coming off the vines in front of the Meerea Park cellar door at Roche Estate (formerly Tempus Two).

An interesting wine. Dry toast, yellow stone fruits. It's has a warmish caress in the mouth. Overripe peach the highlight. A little creamy factor but it's more about the fruit driving this wine. Nuttiness is apparent late and oak very much sits in the back seat. There's a spice which kicks through well to a long finish.

It's pretty good and will pass the roast chook test.

Drink now to eight years.
