Sew and Sew Contour Series Syrah 2015

These Sew and Sew wines continue to impress. Not only are the labels eye catching, the contents supersede initial impressions. this Syrah would be my pick of the lot.

Dark cherries, burnt caramel, old oak prominent.

Dished up soft and smooth, there's a super moreish factor. That old oak protrudes enough to be noticed but not too much to be uninvited. There's enough density to sink your teeth into but it's tempered to not wield the big stick. A dusting of pepper and dried sage to finish - smart Syrah which ever way you want to look at it.

Drink now to eight years.

93/100 - Very good
