Zema Estate Cluny Cabernet Merlot 2013

Solid and reliable. Has there ever been a bad Cluny?

A delicious blend here with a few drops of Cabernet Franc and Malbec tipped in for good measure and aged in both American and French oak.

Satisfaction comes in spades here. There's enough generous black currant fruit here to float your boat ably supported by vanilla, clove, expected mint and dried herbs. Dark chocolate pokes its head up too - a plentiful wine in many respects without clubbing you over the head with power.

Jump on the pleasure train - even more so for savvy buyers who may track it down for around $20. Lots of value here regardless.

Drink now to eight years.
