Made for the long haul, this will be humming in a year or two.
Sourced from another small parcel Tim Smith has access to, Eden valley fruit steers the ship here (98%) with a squirt of Mataro.
Sweet fruited, jammy, generous delivery. Peppery spice is slowly released and chips away as do dark berries. The oak protrudes a bit too much at this point in time. Give it the time it deserves and I suspect it will be another point or two better for it.
A great wine no less, it will cellar comfortably up to fifteen years.
