From vineyards 500 metres above in Mudgee and with vines ranging from 15-45 years of ages comes this well put together Chardonnay. Recently awarded Best Chardonnay Trophy at the Mudgee Wine Show.
The brand was established in 1974 by Italian engineers, now owned by Robert Oatley Vineyards. Handpicked, whole bunch pressed, wild fermentation with short term aging in French oak.
Lemon juice and a touch of zest are cradled by a delicate vanillin texture. A fine minerally drive pushes through with white fleshed nectarine showing late. It's soft and moreish - great buying for the money.
Drink now to 8 years.
