Quite a blend! Touriga, Montepulciano, Pinot Noir, Tempranillo and Nero d'Avola from McLaren Vale.
There is plenty of depth. Black fruits zero in with cameos from blue and red berries. Charcoal, couch leather and firm spices all chip in. There is a warmth about it too. Perhaps that warmth detracts more than hoped. Over a couple of days of tasting the tension was still evident and seemingly not keen on letting go. Firm acidity coupled with a sultana and Christmas cake like finish, I'd need something meaty or even a mushroom risotto to get through a glass.
