Nature en Heritage Organic Chardonnay 2019

An organic imported French Chardonnay that is readily available, but the detail has me scratching my head.

Although clearly labelled as 'organic', the press release states that despite chemicals having been banned from Domaines Paul Mas vineyards for many years, certification is not sought out. Perhaps the organic laws are different in France than in Australia, because quite simply, you can't just be using organic practises in Australia and claim organic status. Anyway, perhaps I need to do some more research...

You get change from $20 for this. Soft toast and creaminess, a shimmer of lime juice wriggles through the mouth. Raw cashews come late, but for me, the flow through the mouth comes across a little segmented. A firmish texture lingers with a tangy pineapple acidity to close. Not a Chardonnay I'd rush to.

Drink now.
