Levantine Hill Sauvignon Blanc Semillon 2015

Before reaching for the fine print, some worked Sauvignon Blanc aromas are apparent. Sure enough, all the Sauvignon Blanc used was fermented in old French oak with a mix of wild and cultured yeasts.

A 67/33 blend, amongst the complexity there is a lively vibe. It opens with a struck match like aromas before fruity and herby characters take hold. Caramelised pineapple, tropical fruit, fresh green herbs, subdued musk sticks and squeezed lemon add vitality to the textured component. Acid is soft leading to a length which hangs on relentlessly. A fantastic wine.

Drink now.
