The fruit comes off vineyards in the Mt Lofty Ranges at One Tree Hill.
Each parcel of fruit was fermented separately then blended. The Grenache and Shiraz saw oak for three months each whilst the Mourvedre relaxed in the tank. This certainly becomes apparent as the fruit drives the bus here. Smooth and juicy.
Lots of raspberry and plump cherry flavours with a gentle dusting of pepper. Flavours are mouthfilling and generous. They skip about with youthful exuberance. Best of all, it's just a nicely balanced wine. It ticks the boxes and a couple of glasses kept me happy. I'd go here again.
Drink now to eight years.
