You can be assured that the wines out of Samuel's Gorge are rock solid. This Shiraz ticks the box once more.
Wood spices early with blue fruits, mulberry and dense plummy fruit. The fruit pulsates around the mouth leaving a trail of exotic spice and liquorice which have a dainty presence. Some kicks of earth and a slight meaty character roll out with more time in the glass. Steak, burgers, snags - great barbecue wine really.
Drink now to eight years.
