Expressive. So savoury. Quite an autumnal Pinot Noir.
Sourced from the Willowlake vineyard (does anyone in the Yarra Valley not source some fruit from this site?), it is a wine well worth curling up to on a chilly evening.
Sauteed mushrooms, cloves, twiggy things and leaf litter. Red cherry fruit wraps itself around the savoury goodness. Some warmth kicks in leading to baking spices on a long and persistent finish. Respectable and very enjoyable.
