Leconfield Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

You can always rely on Leconfield to produce reliable Cabernet. I tasted this on a cool night and it maintained its charm. I've always been a big fan of the ochre coloured label too - plenty of shelf appeal there.

A generous wine made from vines planted in 1974. Lots of dark fruit, chocolate, cedar and the expected mint. The full delivery leaves you wanting for nothing though the finish does lack polish. It's a little rustic if anything.

I spied this online for $30 with a current promotion throwing it out for an extra 30% off making is a super buy for $21.

Cellar up to ten years.

90/100 - Very good.
