De Iuliis Single Vineyard Semillon 2016

This single vineyard wine has hopped and skipped around the Hunter Valley. The 2014 came from the Sunshine vineyard, 2015 Wilderness Road and now this 2016 comes from a Majors Lane vineyard. I'm hoping winemaker Mike de Iuliis finds a happy home here. Whilst the 2015 was impressive, I feel this is a notch above.



A leaner style, citrus fruit is flanked by green herbs. Crunchy apple like acidity rides long and the mid palate, whilst tightish, delivers a moreish factor. Great drinking with anything from the ocean.

Drink now but will age long term if desired.
