Gartelmann Wilhelm Shiraz 2014

A wine which has that 'reliable' feel about it.

Sourced from a vineyard in Broke in the lower Hunter, this spent 13 months in one to three year old French and American oak. There's nothing dazzling about its delivery. After some time in the decanter it felt as though it was still on its heals without much vibrancy to speak of.
Canned plums, dark berries, and dried spices contribute to the medium bodied weight. Quite spicy and peppery to finish. Pizza and pasta dishes would lap it up.

Drink now to five years.
