I only said it again last week, but why buy Sauv Blanc from NZ when we have plenty of quality drops on this side of the ditch. Here we go again... Orange and Adelaide Hills are the hot spots for me with this variety - one of my least favourite varieties I might add. But I'm sure I've mentioned that before too...
This is more of a fruit salad Sauv then a grassy focused example. Bloody good aromas too - passionfruit, pineapple husk, guava, melons, et al. Very tropical indeed. The fruit theme holds true in the mouth too. There's none of that 'greenness' present which can be off putting with this variety. Clean and crisp, the acidity is well balanced delivering a very refreshing wine.
Drink now in the sun listening with a cool breeze caressing your face. Some fresh seafood wouldn't hurt either.
92/100 - Very good.
