Blackbilly Sauvignon Blanc 2016

A new label to me. Made by Nick Haselgrove Wines, this Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from the Adelaide Hills.

Marketing is a curious beast. This label is no different. A Gold Medal adorns the bottle - albeit for Winestate Magazine 'Australian Winemaker of the Year' Award for 2010. Yep, 2010. And here we are in 2017...

To the wine - clean, fresh and crisp. This a good drinking Sauv. It ticks the boxes and has an easy enjoyment factor to it. Tropical fruits, green melon, lychee, Granny Smith apple peel, cut herb and sugar snap peas. Softish acidity helps it go down easy. Good going for Sunday picnics and to wash down some fresh seafood.

Drink now.
