Montalto Pennon Hill Pinot Noir 2016

I wish I could drink all of this to be honest. Feet up with a big glass to get the job done. When these Montalto samples waltz through the door, I know my taste buds are in for a treat. Spine tingling stuff here once more.

Quite polished, Montalto's Simon Black doesn't do anything by halves. Entry level wines like this make reserve wines from other brands stand on shakey ground. Look to this for a reliable Pinot year in year out.

Scents of pine needles, raspberry and dark cherry fruit set the tone. Sour cherry and more raspberry fruit caress the mouth ever so gently yet dance with positive energy. An earthy kick slides in with fine pepper. Soft tannins close the curtain. More please.

Drink now to six years.
