Punt Road Pinot Gris 2017

A good drink but it just seems to lack the get up and go expected from this producer who is currently delivering fantastic wines at more than reasonable prices.

Poached pear, musk and melon. There's some texture from wild fermentation, skin contact and time in barrel. A dash of vanilla and a nip of spice keeps things humming along but I just don't feel any great gravitational pull here to hook me in. I doubt I'd finish a glass either, but that won't deter some who will be quite satisfied to get their fill.

Drink now.
