John Wallace Wines Juju Red 2021

A fun and playful red to thrust this new John Wallace Wines label into prominence. Is it the best wine you'll have this year? No. Could you drink a gallon of it? Hell yeah! And maybe I did just that. Go here.

John Wallace Wines is the side project of Bimbagen winemaker Richard Done. What a fab debut we have here! It's bright and vibrant in the glass, and just like that energetic child with a beaming smile, you can't help but dive in when it says, "Come play with me."

Juicy red and blue fruits run riot. Dangerously medium-bodied, fine earthiness and delicate spices frame a moreish and smashable wine. A lick of sour red cherries plays its hand late. You could even chill this during the warmer months to demonstrate its versatility. But the detail here is in the joy and good times it will bring. Gather those who laugh out loud and share large plates of food. Get knee-deep, I can assure you that resistance is futile.

Drink now to three years.
