White-fleshed stonefruit and freshly squeezed lemon juice set the scene with a tonic-like texture giving the palate a wonderful sense of shape and flow. Raw cashews bring a fine nuttiness, while flashes of caramel drops add extra layers of interest.
But it’s the precision that has me fixated. Everything feels dialled in, with no wasted movement and every element knowing exactly where it needs to be.
This quietly stakes a claim as one of the leading Chardonnays in the country, yet plenty of wine drinkers probably wouldn’t even know it exists.
That needs to change.
