Graceful from the first sip, this is an excellent expression of Pinot Noir from the Orange region, carrying itself with a seductive sense of ease.
Dark cherries, red cherry fruit and plums provide the core, while pine mushrooms, tea tree, orange peel, tilled earth and black tea bring a deliciously savoury presence.
The palate is sleek and silky, sliding effortlessly across the tongue with a sense of quiet precision. Nothing here feels forced or overstated. Instead, it glides, with the fruit, earth and spice finding their own rhythm yet working in terrific unison. Elegant and charming, it's the sort of Pinot that doesn’t need to flex its muscles to make an impression.
Excellent drinking and a reminder of just how capable the Orange region is.
