Raspberries and raspberry coulis skip from the glass with plenty of energy, while a lick of dark chocolate adds a richer edge to the fruit profile. There's a touch of warmth in the mix that protrudes a fraction. Exotic spices wrap themselves around the fruit with a clenched fist, providing plenty of flavour and personality without overwhelming the wine's drinkability. Slippery tannins slide through leaving a trail to muse over. This is the sort of Grenache that has burgers and pizza written all over it.
