Very easy to snuggle up to, this Hill Park is the flagship single vineyard Pinot Noir from Swinging Bridge.
A faint scent of raspberries draws you in before dark cherries and plums seize control.
There’s an attractive woodland character here too, with a sling of woodsy and earthy spices woven through pine needles and freshly tilled earth, delivering a savoury, grounded personality without losing sight of the fruit.
Some generosity emerges through the mid-palate, accompanied by a flicker of warmth that adds a little extra weight and breadth. A rub of texture works gently across the palate carrying through to a finish of satisfying length. Savoury, earthy and quietly generous, great stuff.
