Through the mid-palate, red currants, rhubarb and red apples take over, bringing shape and energy, while a strawberries and cream note pins itself firmly to the palate and refuses to let go.
What I find works particularly well is the wine's composure. Soft, rounded and relaxed in its delivery, it carries itself with an effortless ease that will hook a broad audience. A lemony ping brightens the acid profile keeping the fruit fresh and lively. Subtle fruit bun spices hitch a ride through the finish, adding an extra layer of interest and helping draw out an impressive persistence.
It's approachable, satisfying and wonderfully easy to enjoy.
