Oakridge 864 Henk Vineyard Aqueduct Block Pinot Noir 2025

This Oakridge 864 Henk Vineyard Aqueduct Block  Pinot Noir feels like it's found the gym since I saw it last, carrying a little more weight and muscle than previous releases.

Dense plummy fruit and a wave of red berries land with intent, sticking firmly to the mid-palate and giving the wine a richer, fuller feel. There's a plushness here that sets it apart, trading some of the lift and delicacy often associated with this site for something broader and more rounded. Woodsy spices and earthy nuances weave their way through the fruit profile, while subtle licks of orange peel bring freshness and an attractive point of difference. Everything feels well integrated, even if the wine initially shows a firmer, more compact personality. The best advice? Give it time in the glass. The edges soften, the fruit relaxes and a more harmonious picture emerges. It's a Pinot Noir with presence, offering a darker, fuller interpretation.
