A zesty, vibrant Vermentino from Berton Vineyard that will shine brightest at the table.
Green apple skin, lemon juice and citrus pith set a brisk pace from the outset, with pineapple sage and a dash of canned pineapple juice adding a little extra zip along the way. The acidity, however, steals the limelight. Grapefruit and lemony tang surge through the palate, bringing plenty of freshness. There's good flavour and energy here, but for mine, it needs something on the plate to cool its heels and bring everything into balance.
