Made in the Amarone style, this is the third release of this wine.
The fruit was picked and dried for two weeks in baskets prior to fermentation on skins for seven days.
Smells stewed and raisiny - would you believe me if I said horse hair? Dark fruits, dried purple flowers, dark chocolate, tinned plum and fruit cake presence in the mouth.
Perhaps a wine not suited to everyone's liking, but those who love to indulge in Italian wines would gravitate to this with ease.
