Redman Wines Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

On the second day of tasting this Redman Cabernet took on a tremendous metamorphosis. Redman Wines are made for aging - case in point here.

Soft and rounded fruit. Give it a good decant - the breath of air will do it the world of good.

Dense dark berry and currants sit at the core of this wine yet littered with savoury charm. Refined but it's a tannin bomb which explodes on exit.

There's a consistent drive to it - not too dissimilar to a 1960's Valiant.

Another year or two in bottle then an hour in the decanter will do the trick here. Will cellar beyond the decade with ease.
