Merlot straight from the paddock to bottle. 2017 already.
A fair wine. Merlot is hard to get energised about at times until some thought and effort goes in. This is chunky and bitsy. Fermented, bottled and raced to the shelves, it speaks of spicy plummy fruit. Some chocolate but chunky oak clutters the flow. Drying to finish, I can see the grey nomad types sipping on this at caravan parks as they trek around the country. It will also appease those looking for a cheapie.
Drink now to three years.
