Sparkling Shiraz is a fabulous style of wine that is often overlooked. This Mitchell Wines release is blended with vintages back to 12 years. A moreish and complex wine ready for your drinking pleasure.
It's bottle fermented and left on lees for 18 months before dosage with an eight-year-old fortified Shiraz. The chocolate and minty factor is high and draws you in early. A lick of sweetness folds into the layered berry fruits. A delectable earthiness sits at the core of this wine which screams for butterflied lamb on the barbecue, a classic steak or it will also eat up a chocolate tart for dessert. I just had it without food - it was too good to wait for a meal. Great stuff!
