The Noble One 2016 vintage named in the prestigious Decanter New World Top 10 Sweet Wines. This adds to its collection of over 150 trophies and 465 gold medals awarded throughout its 30 year history. Of the 10 wines selected from around the world, Noble One is the only Botrytis Semillion and one of just two Australian wines recognised.
All things get a make over and Noble One is no different. Moving away from its traditional serving method, De Bortoli have suggested have this in a Whiskey glass over ice. Gone are the days where it was pigeon holed as a dessert match, but now, an open mind will kick back on the lounge sipping on the glass reading a novel or watching the Big Bash in the summer months.
Slip it over ice though and you'll get a new appreciation. And what a treat this is.
Sunset golden in the glass, apricot and canned peach nectar spill from the glass. There's honeyed tones as well plus orange and cumquat marmalade. Soothing, it gracefully slides through the mouth with great width and an explosion of lemons and lemon rind to finish. Divine!
