Sourced from two Hunter Valley sites, the Somerset 1970 plantings and Tinklers vineyard 48 Block, the medium bodied profile excites and delivers complexity all at the same time.
With some coaxing it started to show its personality. Dried red flowers and char early before some meatiness thought the middle. Dark plums and tilled black earth add further interest as the dark berry fruit just cruises with ease. Some soft brown spices, on what seems a never ending finish, will bring a cheeky grin of satisfaction to the dial. A great wine.
