Shaw Vineyard Estate Winemaker's Selection Cabernet Merlot 2012

There's already a few years under the belt here, and it's surprisingly inexpensive at sixteen bucks for a 2012 release.

This 85/15 blend comes off a Murrumbateman property which used to produce wool way back when, just outside of Canberra.

Leafy and savoury aromas, cassis and some plum fruit. Less weighty than I expected. Blackberries round up the tail though the tannins to finish are a little rough.

Well priced. Drink in the medium term.

Good.
