Sirromet Terry Morris Chardonnay 2015

I review all wines which come through the door but this was hard going. Heavy oak and weighed down, it's a wine that barely moved out of first gear.

Barley sugar, dehydrated peach, dry grass and oak all featured prominently when taking a whiff. I came back a day later and little changed. Dense and weighty, it's on the opposite side of the 'modern day' Chardonnay which is gaining plenty of momentum. It feels chunky in the mouth and firm acid sticks to the teeth.
