Pyramids Road Petit Verdot 2019

Winemaker Warren Smith loves Petit Verdot. He's always pretty chuffed with the fruit he is able to source from his grower to the north-west of Stanthorpe.

Still a very young wine, time will be its friend. It showed more personality with time in the glass and on the second day of tasting. Quite firm through the mouth, dancy violets and purple flowers light up the aroma profile. An eye catching dark purple in the glass, blackberry and dark plum fruit has a soothing presence. This is cold night by the fire kind of wine. The acid and tannins will loosen up, and if you have the patience, you will be in for a treat.
