Zonzo Estate Shiraz 2017

A curious wine. Medium bodied Shiraz from the Yarra Valley.

It feels a bit dirty in the mouth possessing a coal/ashy/slippery feel. Red fruits headed by raspberries tuck in behind with touches of blackberries and carob. Quite spicy with a dusting of cool climate white pepper, it sits long. In the end, it feels a bit bogged down. A little more bounce on the balls of its feet and you'll have something to run at. Mind you, it would do the job well at your weekend barbecue.

Drink to five years.
