Today marks the 9th birthday of Qwine Reviews!
Time flies when you're having fun and what a delicious ride it has been - some 4200 wine reviews to date and counting...
In the last twelve months, I've travelled to the Yarra Valley, Granite Belt, Coonawarra, Hunter Valley, Waipara and Central Otago districts of New Zealand, McLaren Vale and the Barossa Valley.
And although I am privileged to check out some amazing wines, it's the people behind the label which always impress me with their passion, their story and their talent.
I'm most grateful to the ever growing number of wineries, winemakers and marketing companies who send their wines for review. But in the end, I cannot thank my readership enough. Without you, the audience, there would be no purpose. I enjoy the conversations and good humour shared with so many of you - thank you. Long may this continue.
I'm proud I've always maintained integrity, too, as all reviews are independent and honest. I have never asked producers for payment to review their wines nor have I charged the readership. In essence, I do not get paid - not a cent. I must be insane to keep at this! If anything, I receive a small commission from those that advertise at the bottom of each post (as below) or on the home page. If you see a deal you like on one of the banners, click on the link and after purchase a few bob gets thrown my way which more than likely is invested in some pork products for me to consume 😃
