This is an intriguing take on Fiano that had me doing plenty of double takes. It brings all those delightful Fiano traits to the table, but the opening act is impossible to ignore.
A burst of passionfruit curd leaps from the glass, and while I'm still not entirely sure whether I love it in the context of Fiano, the curiosity factor keeps drawing me back for another look. Juicy lemons, lime zest and finger lime notes quickly join the party. It's the tropical feel that sets this apart. Wearing its warm-climate credentials proudly, there is an exuberance and presence that make it hard to forget. In all, what you get for 20 bucks is more than respectable.
