Kilikanoon Mort's Reserve Riesling 2014

For a 2014, this Riesling comes across a little more advanced than I would have liked. Still, it's in good nick. Real good nick.

Toasty, honeyed characters with limes cutting loose - it's certainly showing some mature signs already. Real lemonade helps change the gears to another notch. The citrus drive cannot be underestimated and cleanses the mouth. There's a precision about the line of acidity cutting its path. Great drive, it just hangs in the mouth - loitering with intent.

Clare Valley shining again. Riesling purists will enjoy this.

Drink now to the long term.
