Cirillo Estate Single Vineyard Shiraz 2015

Winemaker Marco Cirillo tells me, "This is a soft and pretty wine - not your typical Barossa Shiraz." From a single vineyard in Steingarten, perched 415 metres above.

There's a street stylin' attitude which is hard not to love. It's not a big brut of a wine nor is it a delicate medium bodied piece. It's that cool dude with the hat turned back with enough intellect to engage your thoughts and conversation. Baking spices fold over themselves here on a platter of savoury deliciousness. Dark berry fruit, mulberry, shards of chocolate and dried herb in the form of sage. Well balanced with a moreish length to salute the judge.
Terrific drinking for the asking price - it should be more. Just take it I say.

Drink now to eight years.
