Tyrrell's Fordwich Verdelho 2017

There's an award at the Hunter Valley Wine Show for the winemaker of the best Verdelho - it's a tiara. Make of that what you will. This comes from what is said to be a top Verdelho site.

Verdelho like warm climates hence it has found a happy home in the Hunter.

Whiffs of canned pineapple syrup and green pineapple husk lead the charge. To taste and Bickfords lime cordial like fruit thins out quicker than expected but a ginger spice shoulders the load and hangs long with a crisp finish where lemony acid clutches hard. Not a bad drink to cure your summertime blues but it just feels heavy lacking any vibrancy or energy.

Drink now.
