Golden Grove Estate Vermentino 2019

The back label suggests grab a deck chair, some oysters and chill the day away. Yep, do that, but add an extra bottle and some friends. A brilliant expression of Vermentino.

A new label signals some of the positive changes taking place at Golden Grove Estate. Vermentino has always been a quality release from this humble family operation and this 2019 edition is no different.

Peel back layers of pleasure to expose lemon juice, tonic and stonefruit/melony thing going on. A subtle creamy drive from partial barrel fermentation (28% then on lees for two months) adds a sensual texture that reaches out with a soft caress.

A long and moreish finish is framed by a fine spice that beckons a repeat dose. If you Vermentino, you better pop some of this in your glass. If you don't Vermentino, start here.

Drink now to three years.
